Choice of schools on-site a lure for families at new estate

There is no doubt that education is one of the big selling points at Windermere estate by Country Garden Australia.

The community, 38km southwest of Melbourne, will offer four schools within the estate itself — two government primary schools, one government secondary school and one private secondary school. The 363ha community is divided into five different precincts, all named after education institutions — La Trobe, Swinburne, William, Deakin and Monash. “Education is the defining aspect of our community,” said Dr Guotao Hu, Country Garden Australia’s chief executive. “It is something we place an enormous amount of emphasis on, and the residential projects we have developed in China and around the world have had this focus as well.“We also wanted to have four schools on site because education is very important to families, and this way they could access a range of options within walking distance of their homes.”
