Maiden project showcases our capabilities in Australia

As the CEO of a development company, the successful completion of any project is always a significant milestone. But as the head of the Australian arm of a company that has 1,500 projects currently under construction in 300 cities across the globe, and is one of the world’s largest property developers, the delivery of your first local project is indeed a defining moment.

I’m extremely proud to say that we’ve now reached this point with the completion of our first Australian project, Ryde Garden, in Sydney’s North Ryde. We now have a project that showcases our international expertise right here, and our strong presence in the Australian market is now evident for all to see. Construction commenced in May 2016, and at its peak, 550 workers were working on site each day. Completion of the project in a two and a half-year period required meticulous planning and focus and is a significant achievement in itself.

With the project reaching completion in December last year, we’re proud to say that buyers have now started to move into the first of Ryde Garden’s three towers.
Designed by Bates Smart Architects, this $580M high-rise project includes 830 apartments across the three towers, which range in height from 12 to 28 storeys, and border a 4,000sqm park.
Ultimately, around 2,500 residents will call Ryde Garden home, with the project’s one, two or three-bedroom apartments enjoying uninterrupted views to the city and the surrounding district.
Resident amenity includes a private 30-metre lap pool, gymnasium, childcare facility, street level retail and concierge, as well as dedicated rooftop gardens with BBQ’s and other landscaped ground plane areas.

However, despite Ryde Garden providing lasting proof of our capabilities in delivering masterplanned communities to the Australian market, the most exciting and rewarding aspect of this milestone project really is to see the residents moving in to their new homes.
This is ultimately what our business is about – providing homes for our local community. But really our role goes even further than that… it’s about building engaging communities. This is really why we build.

We are all extremely proud of this project and are really looking forward to the Ryde Garden community developing as all three towers become inhabited.
