From night markets to Halloween zoo adventures, there’s lots to do in Werribee, Wyndham Vale and Manor Lakes this October.

Night Waves
5 October

The local talent at the Wyndham Cultural Centre will be hosting a jam-packed night filled with music, performance and creativity. Be inspired by the atmospheric soundscapes of Josh Ephraums’s Avalanch, followed by an unforgettable contemporary rendition of the Greek classic ‘Antigone’ by the Wyndham Edge Youth. After the show, discover local dancers, and hip-hop artists from Benchmark. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase.

Children’s Edible Garden Workshop
6 October

Werribee Park Heritage Orchard is a beautiful antique orchard dating back to the 1870s. Explore the beautiful grounds that are famous for its peaches, grapes, apples, quinces, pears, a variety of plums and several other fruits, as well as walnuts and olives. Join the expert team from 10am–2pm, who will be running an educational workshop for children and adults on how to grow your very own edible garden.

Manor Lakes Neighbourhood Markets
6 October

Held at the Manor Lakes Community Centre, the night markets showcase local businesses. Bring a blanket and grab some food from the market stalls or food trucks. Face painting, DJ’s and a free moonlight cinema experience with popcorn and fairy floss for the kids ensures a great night out.

Moonlight Market
26 October

Head to the Italian Sports Club for the Moonlight Market. The perfect way to spend a night out in Spring, you can browse market stalls, enjoy live entertainment from Tristan J Ross and tuck into a selection of delicious hot food or a cool drink in the picnic area. Bring the kids along for an evening the whole family can enjoy.

Boo in the Zoo
26–27 October

Boo in the Zoo is the ultimate way to celebrate Halloween with your family. Across two nights, Werribee Zoo will be hosting a fun filled family event suitable for all ages. Come in your best costume and enjoy a night of crafts and games including the opportunity to trick or treat throughout the Pula Trail and experience a transformed Werribee Open Range Zoo.

Children’s Week Picnic
28 October

This free community event is back for the 18th year! Held at Werribee Park, this fun family-friendly day out is packed full of live entertainment, interactive arts experiences, sporting activities, music, dancing and good times!

There will be food trucks, roving entertainers and the chance for the kids to meet their favourite characters from Despicable Me. This is an unmissable family event that the kids will absolutely love!
