The Mayor of Wyndham City, Cr Mia Shaw travelled to China this month to officiate the formalisation of a sister city relationship between Wyndham and Changzhou in China.
Sister city relationships are culturally significant in China and provide access opportunities that may not have previously existed. The formalisation of the sister city relationship also represents a milestone in Wyndham’s recognition as an international City.
The relationship also helps to position Wyndham as a destination for future investment and assists in the education of the cities’ decision makers from hearing about overseas experiences, ideas and learnings.
